Brothers in Arms, Dire Straits, semplicemente mitica:
Queste montagne coperte da nebbia
ora sono una casa per me,
ma la mia casa è la pianura
e lo sarà sempre.
A volte tornerete
nelle vostre valli e nelle vostre fattorie
oh,miei compagni!
Ci sono tanti mondi differenti,
tanti soli diversi.
E viviamo in mondi diversi,
anche se ne abbiamo soltanto uno.
Ora il sole è andato all’inferno
e la luna sta alta nel cielo
fatemi dire addio a voi.
Ogni uomo è destinato a morire
ed è scritto nelle stelle e
in ogni linea sul tuo palmo.
Siamo davvero matti a far combattere
la guerra ai nostri compagni d’armi!
Spandau Ballet - Through the Barricades
Mother doesn't know where love has gone
She says it must be youth
That keeps us feeeling strong
See it in her face, that's turned to ice
And when she smiles she shows
The lines of sacrifice
And now I know what they're saying
When the sun begins to fade
And we made our love on wasteland
And through the barricades
Father made my history
He fought for what he thought
Would set us somehow free
He tought me what to say in school
I learned off by heart
But now that's torn in two
And now I know what they're saying
In the music of the parade
We made our love on wasteland
And through the barricades
Born on different sides of life
We feel the same
And feel all of this strife
So come to me when I'm asleep
We'll cross the line
And dance upon the street
And now I know what they're saying
When the drums begin to fade
We made our love on wasteland
And through the barricades
Oh, turn around and I'll be there
There's a scar through my heart
But I'll bare it again
I thought we were the human race
But we were just another border-line-case
And the stars reach down and tell us
That there's always one escape
I don't know where love has gone
And in this trouble land
Desperation keep us strong
Fridays child is full of soul
With nothing left to lose
There's everything to go
And now I know what they're are saying
It's a terrible beauty we've made
So we make our love on wasteland
And through the barricades
Now I know what they're are saying
as hearts go to their graves
we made our love on wasteland
And through the barricades

Grazie Nausicaa! Ottima scelta!
fra limoni e fra conchiglie... massacra figli e figlie
di una generazione costretta a non guardare
a parlare a bassa voce a spegnere la luce
a commentare in pace ogni pallottola nell'aria
cosa nostra... cosa vostra... cos'è vostro?
A volte condanna a volte perdona
Semplicemente
Intatte e reali come piccoli miracoli
Nonostante intorno fosse [tutto bruciato

Sting: "What might save us, me and you, is if the Russians love their children too"
Russians
In Europe and America, there's a growing feeling of hysteria
Conditioned to respond to all the threats
In the rhetorical speeches of the Soviets
Mr. Krushchev said we will bury you
I don't subscribe to this point of view
It would be such an ignorant thing to do
If the Russians love their children too
How can I save my little boy from Oppenheimer's deadly toy
There is no monopoly in common sense
On either side of the political fence
We share the same biology
Regardless of ideology
Believe me when I say to you
I hope the Russians love their children too
There is no historical precedent
To put the words in the mouth of the President
There's no such thing as a winnable war
It's a lie that we don't believe anymore
Mr. Reagan says we will protect you
I don't subscribe to this point of view
Believe me when I say to you
I hope the Russians love their children too
We share the same biology
Regardless of ideology
What might save us, me, and you
Is if the Russians love their children too
Traduzione
I Russi
Malgrado l’ideologia
Ciò che potrebbe salvarci, a me e a te,

(Fonte Wiki)
Testo:
Enola Gay, you should have stayed at home yesterday
Oho words can't describe the feeling and the way you lied
These games you play, they're gonna end it all in tears someday
Oho Enola Gay, it shouldn't ever have to end this way
It's 8.15, and that's the time that it's always been
We got your message on the radio, conditions normal and you're coming home
Enola Gay, is mother proud of little boy today
Oho this kiss you give, it's never ever gonna fade away
Enola Gay, it shouldn't ever have to end this way
Oho Enola Gay, it shouldn't fade in our dreams away
It's 8:15, and that's the time that it's always been
We got your message on the radio, conditions normal and you're coming home
Enola Gay, is mother proud of little boy today
Oho this kiss you give, it's never ever gonna fade away

U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday

Da Apocalypse Now di F.F. Coppola
The End - The Doors
This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes...again
Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of some...stranger's hand
In a...desperate land
Lost in a Roman...wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah
Black Hawk Down di Ridley Scott

Duran Duran - New Religion
Contro le guerre di religione
LYRICS
I've been now sauntering
Out and down the path sometime
Come on, it takes me nowhere, which I know
Faces everywhere pulling grins and signs in things
Telling me not there, man, it's no go (Don't go there boy)
I need a reason
I can't think without one now
Too much learning got to show
Call it treason
Maybe catch her, don't know how
Too many things, too much to know
I'll bring my timing in, seagulls gather on the wind
Lady screaming, lady leave me out
'Cause sometimes people stare
Sitting down in electric chairs
Steaming crowds they gather and they shout
Don't know why this evil bothers me (Take another chance boy, carry the fight, you can take him if you're fast)
So why is he trying to follow me? (Didn't I say if you're holding on, you'd be laughing at the last?)
How many reasons do they need? (I get along fine with them friends of mine but you have to make a choice)
I might just believe this time (You're singing out of tune but the beat's in time and it's us who makes the noise)
I'm talking for free, I can't stop myself, it's a new religion
I've something to see, I can't help myself, it's a new religion
Ok, my reasoning might be clouded by the sun
But someone sees the departmental lie
You know this peacetime jabbing fist in stabbing knife
Only get one look before you die
Don't know why this evil bothers me (Take another chance boy, carry the fight, you can take him if you're fast)
So why is he trying to follow me? (Didn't I say if you're holding on, you'd be laughing at the last?)
How many reasons do they need? (I get along fine with them friends of mine but you have to make a choice)
I might just believe this time (You're singing out of tune but the beat's in time and it's us who makes the noise)
I'm talking for free, I can't stop myself, it's a new religion
I've something to see, I can't help myself, it's a new religion
Gotta take pay from the saints 'n sinners
In regulation hats 'n scarves 'n things
Walking in formation down the lane,
They carry their cross, make a church bell ring (Bring it out now)
Army majors pull a mean cool truth
There lying in a swimming pool
Searching for the undeniable truth that
A man is just a fool
Don't know why this evil bothers me (Take another chance boy, carry the fight, you can take him if you're fast)
So why is he trying to follow me? (Didn't I say if you're holding on, you'd be laughing at the last?)
How many reasons do they need? (I get along fine with them friends of mine but you have to make a choice)
I might just believe this time (You're singing out of tune but the beat's in time and it's us who makes the noise)
I'm talking for free, I can't stop myself, it's a new religion
I've something to see, I can't help myself, it's a new religion
TRADUZIONE NUOVA RELIGIONE
Sto andando a zonzo
Ho imparato troppo, devo farlo vedere
Chiamalo tradimento
Allora perché sta provando a seguirmi?
Allora perché sta provando a seguirmi?
Bisogna far pagare santi e peccatori,
Maggiori dell’esercito dicono freddamente grezze verità
Lì, sdraiati in una piscina,
cercando l’innegabile verità che
un uomo è solo un pazzo
Non so perché questo malvagio si interessa tanto di me
Prova un’altra volta, ragazzo, continua a combattere
Li puoi prendere se sei veloce
Allora perché sta provando a seguirmi?
